Retrospective 3 – 100 years

This is a joint work that I did with Manuel Coletto, a friend who works in illustrations. The images where exhibited in june 2009 in Hot Art, which is a parallel fair of Art Basel.

Here is the concept:

“Experiencing the suburbs of Rotterdam, the perception that you gradually achieve on nature is the same that you could have in front of a showcase of shoes: the landscape is made from a number of still elements that never change and never move, constantly followed by the wise eye of men. The environment is a perfect mirror of the landscape project, that gave it birth but refused his evolution. Introducing even small-scale self-evolved elements in the scene makes chaos break out. This is what the original images want to point out and what the collages try to emphasize.

How to give nature the chance of a new renaissance?

In a completely idealistic way, the natural elements become icons and loose their original identity, their power is fully controlled and planned and the chance of an autonomous evolution is not even considered.

In our work we want to present a provocative and surreal rebirth, a new time to bloom for nature, in order to lead the public to a reflection. 100 years is the time for evolution.”

Retrospective 2 – Visionary Cities

These are few collages I did in 2009 for the book curated by Winy Maas and The Why Factory, named Visionary Cities and published by NAI Publishers in the same 2009. Take a look here.

Retrospective 1 – A booklet and a postcard

First posts will be few works I’d like to publish even if they’re not the most recent ones. Be patient 😉

This is some work I did in 2009 for The Why Factory (www.thewhyfactory.com), It’s a small booklet build as an advertisement for the masterclasses and a postcard with the same purpose.
